GWPD‑S‑3IN1 3-in-1 Partial Discharge Sensor
The GWPD‑S‑3IN1 is a 3‑in‑1 partial discharge sensor integrating TEV (Transient Earth Voltage), AE (Acoustic Emission) and UHF (Ultra‑High Frequency) measurement technologies. TEV technology captures transient earth voltage signals coupled to the cabinet surface caused by internal partial discharge activities; AE technology collects acoustic wave signals generated by equipment insulation defects; UHF technology receives high-frequency electromagnetic waves excited by partial discharge events. The three independent detection principles complement and cross-verify each other, effectively overcoming the shortcomings of single-mode detection, such as susceptibility to on-site electromagnetic interference and missing discharge signals.
Scope of Application
- Rated for 0.4‑132 kV voltage class, this sensor is widely applicable to medium‑voltage switchgears, ring main units, gas-insulated switchgears and outdoor switching stations. It realizes online insulation condition monitoring for core equipment components including busbars, circuit breakers, disconnectors and cable joints. It can accurately identify typical latent faults such as insulation aging, internal air-gap defects, tip-point discharge and poor contact.
- Suitable for both new power distribution projects and intelligent retrofitting of in-service high-voltage switchgears, the sensor continuously outputs complete partial discharge raw data and diagnostic patterns. It supports equipment condition assessment and promotes the maintenance mode upgrade from traditional time-based maintenance to scientific condition-based maintenance.
Main Functions & Core Product Advantages
3-In-1 Multi-Mode Cooperative Detection for Reliable Fault Identification
A single sensor synchronously collects TEV, AE and UHF partial discharge signals. Multi-dimensional cross validation effectively filters on-site environmental interference, significantly reduces false alarms and missing alarms, and covers almost all common partial discharge fault types in medium-voltage switchgears.
Professional Partial Discharge Pattern Acquisition for In-Depth Fault Diagnosis
- Supports real-time acquisition of PRPS (Phase-Resolved Partial Discharge Sequence) and PRPD (Phase-Resolved Partial Discharge) diagnostic patterns and characteristic data. All data can be uploaded to monitoring hosts and cloud backend systems. Operation and maintenance personnel can judge discharge types, analyze defect characteristics and track insulation degradation trends, realizing hidden danger grading warning and precise maintenance decision-making.
Live-Line Magnetic-Mount Installation for Efficient On-Site Deployment
- Adopts high-strength magnetic adsorption structure, supporting live-line installation without power outage. No modification to primary power circuits is required. The sensor can be directly attached to the outer wall of switchgears, ensuring zero impact on normal equipment operation. It features simple construction and high adaptability for on-site retrofitting projects.
Ultra-Long Battery Service Life to Reduce O&M Costs
- Equipped with high-performance lithium-thionyl chloride battery offering 5–8+ years of ultra-long service life. It eliminates frequent on-site battery replacement and maintenance work, perfectly suitable for widely distributed power stations and scattered monitoring points with inconvenient daily maintenance.
Flexible Dual Communication Modes Compatible with Multiple Platforms
- Supports LoRa-WAN wireless communication and complies with State Grid power transmission and transformation protocols. Wired and wireless dual transmission modes are optional. The wireless transmission distance reaches more than 500 meters. The sensor is compatible with the GoWatron self-developed monitoring system and various third-party industrial monitoring platforms.
